Cancellation Policy
You can cancel VERA yourself, whenever you want, without emailing anyone and without talking to a retention specialist. This page explains exactly what happens when you do. Cancelling is not the same as deleting your account; cancelling keeps your data.

On this page (7 sections)
1. How to cancel
Open your billing settings and use the link to the Stripe billing portal, where you can cancel the subscription, change the plan, or update your payment method. The change is reflected back in VERA.
To cancel a trial, use the cancel option in the trial banner or your billing settings. If your trial was started with a card, cancelling before the trial ends prevents the automatic conversion charge.
If you cannot reach your billing settings, email support@myvera.io from the address on the account with the subject line "Cancel my subscription" and we will do it for you. We do not require a phone call and we will not put you through a retention script.
2. When cancellation takes effect
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep full access until then; we do not cut you off the moment you cancel.
Cancelling a trial stops the automatic conversion. Access continues to the end of the trial window rather than ending immediately.
There is no pro-rata refund for the unused remainder of a paid term. See the Refund Policy for the exceptions.
3. What happens after
When the paid period ends, the account moves to the Free plan's limits, or to a read-only state if it is a lapsed trial with no paid plan. Your data is not deleted.
- Your data stays. Business profile, customers, leads, jobs, estimates, invoices, content, and audit history all remain in the account.
- Credits. The monthly plan allowance stops accruing and any remaining allowance for the cancelled plan is not carried forward. Purchased credit packs remain in the account and are still usable within the limits of your new plan.
- Automations pause. Scheduled posts, automated workflows, and periodic syncs stop running once the account is past its paid entitlement. Anything queued but not yet executed will not run.
- Integrations stay connected. Connections and their credentials remain until you disconnect them or delete the account, but the features that use them may be unavailable.
- Public links keep working. Estimate links you have already sent continue to resolve while the account exists. They stop only when you regenerate them or delete the account.
4. Coming back
Subscribe again at any time from the pricing page or your billing settings. Your data is exactly where you left it and a fresh credit cycle starts at the new plan's allowance.
A second free trial is not available. Trial eligibility is once per account.
5. Cancellation feedback
When you cancel or let a trial lapse, VERA asks why, with a set of reasons and an optional free-text answer. Answering is voluntary and it does not affect the cancellation.
That feedback is treated as your data, not as operator analytics: it is stored against your account and is deleted when you delete your account. We use it to decide what to fix.
Depending on the reason, VERA may offer an alternative such as a one-time short trial extension or a lower plan. Those offers are discretionary and you are free to ignore them.
6. Cancellation by VERA
VERA may cancel or suspend a subscription where payment fails after Stripe's retries are exhausted, where the account breaches the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where we are required to by law. The Terms of Service set out the notice and cure period that applies to a termination for breach.
If VERA discontinues the Service entirely, we will give as much notice as we reasonably can, refund the unused portion of any prepaid term, and keep the data export available through the notice period.
7. Cancelling versus deleting
Cancelling ends the billing relationship and keeps your data. Deleting your account permanently removes your data and cancels the subscription in the same step. You do not need to cancel first in order to delete.
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Read the Account Deletion Policy before you use it, and export your data first.
